Postdoc: We are always interested in applications from outstanding chemists who are interested in becoming a postdoctoral fellow. For applicants, experience in synthesis is essential, and we particularly welcome applications from chemists who are also experts in another technique (synthetic, spectroscopic, analytical) that builds our group expertise. This is how we have built a group environment with so many interesting facets. We especially encourage applications from people who identify with groups that are underrepresented in chemistry, as we value diversity in scientific background and personal experiences. Please send a CV and research summary to Pat.
Graduate: We are continuously accepting new graduate students, which is done only through Yale Admissions. It is not useful to apply directly to professors for graduate positions.
Undergraduate: We typically have several Yale undergraduates working with the group, and in summers are sometimes joined by undergraduates from other universities and colleges. Due to high demand, we only have space for students who have sources of funding (Yale students should see this link and this link; outside students may have other fellowship opportunities). Undergraduate researchers work closely with one of the graduate students or postdocs, and availability of positions is dependent on an available mentor. We support your research, your scientific growth, and your competitiveness for top graduate programs in chemistry!
