Pat receives Blavatnik Young Investigator Award

November 2013

Pat was proud to receive a Blavatnik Young Investigator Award from the New York Academy of Sciences. Congratulations to Team Imido

September 2013

Congratulations to Team Imido for the acceptance of their paper on catalytic nitrene transfer at Organometallics. This was a long road that started with kinetics by Nate Eckert, then Ryan Cowley, then Matt Golder, and finally Malik Al-Afyouni did the finishing touches to reach the finish line.

Congratulations to Sarina Bellows

August 2013

Congratulations to Sarina Bellows on her first-author paper describing computations on spin-state changes in β-hydride elimination reactions. She has been very brave as our first student to really dive into DFT computations, and this paper in Organometallics shows that it has paid off.

Welcome to postdoc Ilija Coric

August 2013

A warm welcome to Dr. Ilija Coric, who is joining the group as a postdoc. Ilija comes to us from the Max Planck Institute for Coal Research in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, where he did Ph.D. research with Ben List.

Set up at Yale!

July 2013

We are set up and rocking along on the 2nd floor of the Chemical Research Building at Yale. The University and Department of Chemistry at Yale have done a great job of helping us to get back up to speed, and we’re looking forward to many years of great research at Yale.
